Many mental health issues require close examination and much self-improvement to effect a healthy sense of well-being. In individual therapy, the discussion is between the patient and the psychologist. Also, the therapist has more time to devote to a patient when it is one on one. |
A patient may explore their issues on a deeper level with individual therapy, more so than in a group setting. The patient also is prevented from listening to other people’s problems, which can be an issue for someone that has mental health issues.
